At our axe throwing and archery sessions, we provide all the equipment you need for a fun and safe experience. Whether you're a beginner or an expert, we have a variety of bows to suit all skill levels, from kids’ bows to adult hunting-level bows, we cater to ages 6 and up. Our staff will guide you through the activities, showing you the proper techniques and offering assistance until you feel confident to take aim on your own. It’s all about having a great time while learning new skills!

what is archery tag?

Archery tag is an exciting, fast-paced game that combines the skills of archery with the thrill of tag (Ages 12+)

Players use bows and foam-tipped arrows while wearing protective masks to shoot at each other while dodging incoming shots.

It’s a fun and safe way to engage in friendly competition, using strategy and quick reflexes!

Alphaxe was the only place in Hawke’s Bay I could find that would let me use my crossbow. With their open mindedness, suport and knowledge I have gone from no idea what I'm doing to able to go out and successfully hunt on my own.
It's also been a fun venue to bring friends for entertainment.

The axe throwing games were fun and competitive, and it doesn't take long to get the hang of throwing axes somewhat accurately. Simple set-up, but simple done well is perfect.
